This circular e-bike tour takes you through the hilly landscape of the Emmental with a flat return journey along the Emme. The main destination of the tour is the historic Kleeb mill in Rüegsbach.
Route route and journey
- Start: Burgdorf .
- Route: The route leads over the Emmentaler Höger via Lueg to the show dairy and from there to the Kleeb mill. The elevation gain to the crests is easy to manage on an e-bike. From the top, you have a clear view of the entire valley and the Bernese Alps. Return journey: From Rüegsbach, the route is flat along the Emme back to Burgdorf.

On arrival in Rüegsbach, the focus is on a visit to the Kleeb mill. The mill is a striking wooden building that stands for traditional Emmental craftsmanship.
What you can see on site:
- The historic building structure: The mill impresses with its architecture and well-preserved facilities. You get a direct insight into a business that processes grain from the region.
- It becomes clear how the value chain from local grain to flour works. The Kleeb mill is known for its different types of flour, which are produced without artificial additives.
The mill store (farm store): A highlight of the visit is the integrated store. The range is wide and includes:
- Flour specialties: From classic white flour to spelt and wholemeal products and special baking mixes.
- Regional products: In the store you will find various Emmental specialties such as pasta (Zaugg pasta), honey, oils and various seeds or muesli mixes.
- Gift items: There are often beautifully packaged sets of regional products on offer, which are easy to transport in a rucksack or e-scooter basket.
